Industrial parquet or the parquet industry

The parquet as a floor covering has been known since ancient times and there is no need to convince someone in its advantages. Ecological, durable, and the main thing esthetic properties of parquet floors in accommodations and office buildings deserve only the supreme estimations in comparison with other kinds of coverings. Today various kinds of parquet are widely used:

  • piece;
  • mosaic;
  • board, etc.

Requirements to known types of parquet are regulated by standards.

New kind of parquet production - so-called industrial parquet has gained popularity recently. It is used for covering of floors of industrial premises of various purposes. A spectrum of its application - from food and sewing manufactures up to machine-building workshops. The floors of athletic facilities covered with industrial parquet meet the highest requirements. In comparison with "palace" parquet industrial one possesses a number of doubtless advantages. Due to its small sizes waste of furniture and other industries can be used as a primary product. The simple form (without grooves and crests) does not demand special tools and complex equipment. Easy flooring is another, and not the last advantage of industrial parquet.

The industrial parquet is compiled of batten, all sides of which are rectangular. The most popular size of batten in Europe is 160 x 8 x 22,85 mm.

The use of this standard size is characteristic for flooring the industrial premises. The consumer receives parquet in packages 160 õ 320 size (40 battens laid on the edge). Battens in a package are fixed by adhesive tape on the top and bottom planes. After stacking packages on the prepared surface of a floor the adhesive tape is removed.

The same parquet battens floored in layer, allow to create the certain picture ("spruce", "bricks", "chess", etc.). In this case the parquet is used as mosaic. Mosaic floorings are characteristic for office and other auxiliary industrial premises. In case of mosaic use of parquet, it can be supplied in the form "carpet" fragments fastened with thermal mesh. A size of such fragments is 320 õ 640 mm.

The next popular standard size of an industrial parquet is 160 õ 18 õ 22,25. It is delivered in packages 160 õ 320 size (14 pieces in a package). The basic application is athletic facilities flooring.

At rather simple technology of industrial parquet production, the requirement on equipment productivity, caused by the small useful area of an individual batten becomes paramount.

Only automation of all processes can provide high efficiency. Modern equipment for industrial parquet manufacturing is produced by the firms WEINIG (Germany), BAUWERK (Switzerland), etc. Its functioning is based on modular construction with the use of rotary technologies principles. The first serially produced in CIS special milling machine for manufacture of industrial parquet ÑÔÏ-5, has been developed by RPA "MAGR" (Ukraine) specialists, and is based on some other principles. MAGR designed the automated machine tool, which carries out all parquet manufacture technological operations on one module, and can be operated be one person.

The technological scheme is shown on the picture.

From a cassette feeder a workpiece is supplied to butt-end cutting unit which forms the butt- ends of the blank with the frequency 1 sec. The subsequent workpiece pushes the processed one to the seizures of non-stop feeder. The bottom milling cutter processes the bottom plane purely, and the top milling cutter removes a superfluous overmeasure. The set of disk saws located below the table level engraves a workpiece, leaving guaranteed juncture cut by the last milling cutter.

Due to this technology each piece of parquet has distinguished edges without which good parquet cannot be made.

The basic advantage of the new machine tool in comparison with existing imported machines is compactness, rather low power consumption and high efficiency. Thus this machine tool is several times cheaper than the imported equipment of similar purpose. Technical characteristics of milling machine for manufacture of industrial parquet ÑÔÏ-5 are given in the table.
